Yamada Denki to Set up First China Store ahead of Schedule

SHENZHEN, Dec 31, 2008 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Japan-based home appliance retailer Yamada Denki has decided to tap into China one year ahead of its previous schedule in view of the fact that China's housing market has gone through peak-to-trough declines and stabilized.

The company says in a statement that it will set up its first store chain overseas in Shenyang, Liaoning province, at the end of 2009. The store is designed with a total commercial space of 5,000 to 10,000 square meters. The store will mainly sell high-end high-value-added products.
