Motorcycle Industry Needs Government Support

CHONGQING, Jan 01, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Amid the financial crisis, the fragile Chinese motorcycle industry is suffering from severe strike, since overseas motorcycle demands are withering.

A report from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) shows that 36 of the 113 monitored motorcycle manufacturers, representing 31.86% of the total, have incurred losses by the end of September 2008. Some smaller companies are on the edge of bankruptcy or have shut down.
