Beijing to Offer Subsidies to Renewable Energy Generation

BEIJING, Jan 15, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The Chinese government will offer a long support to power generation based on renewable energy, said Huang Shaozhong, an official with the State Electricity Regulatory Commission of China.

A scheme will be issued in the first half of this year for the subsidies for power generation projects based on renewable energy in the second half of 2008, according to Huang. As a matter of fact, it will not be the first time for the government to offer such subsidies.
