It'll be good if CPO fetches around RM2,000: Chin Teck

CHIN Teck Plantations Bhd, which made bumper profits last year due to high crude palm oil (CPO) prices, expects another good year if the price hovers around RM1,800 to RM2,000 per tonne this year.

"There is still hope for us in the plantation industry but trouble looms if the price drops to below RM1,400," said executive director Wong Aun Phui.
Despite expectations of a tough year, the stability of CPO prices over the last two months has been a comfort somewhat for Chin Teck.
