Statement of Tom FitzGerald Director Kentucky Resources Council, Inc. Committee
on House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources
February 12, 2009 Mr. Chairman, Congressman Rahall, members of the Subcommittee,
my name is Tom FitzGerald. I am Director of the Kentucky Resources Council,
Inc., a nonprofit environmental advocacy organization providing legal and
technical assistance without charge to low- income individuals, community
groups and local governments on a range of environmental issues, from air,
waste and water pollution to mineral extraction, and energy and utility
