ZTE Selected to Build Thai Optical Network

SHENZHEN, Feb 27, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- ZTE Corporation (SEHK: 0763 and SZSE: 000063) will help CAT Telecom Public Co., Ltd., the second largest fixed-line network operator in Thailand, build a national backbone optical network covering the country.

To meet growing demand, CAT Telecom has long been brewing expanding and upgrading its transmission network under operation. The to-be-built network includes dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) optical cables with a length of about 10,000 kilometers.
