Coca-Cola to Invest USD2bn More in China

BEIJING, Mar 09, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The Coca-Cola Co. will additionally invest USD 2 billion in R&D, opening new plants and improving sales network in China over the next three years, said Muhtar Kent, president of the US beverage maker.

The investment will exceed the total it injected into the Chinese market in the past 30 years. Statistics show that Coca-Cola entered China in 1979 and so far, it has infused a total of USD 1.6 billion into the market.
