Chinese Regulators Investigate Lending Destination

BEIJING, Mar 10, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Chinese regulators are continuing a round of spot investigations into the lending of the country's commercial banks, said insiders.

The move started about two weeks ago, when regulators planned to complete the checkup on bank pre-lending examinations, lending management and after-lending monitoring in eight or ten days. Now, the investigation covers more issues, such as the destination of money raised through note financing.
