When art becomes the best teacher
As a teacher, I found " 'Danger and betrayal' " (Page A-1, March 5) about "grade fixing" at Fort Lee High School to be of great interest. I knew it would capture the attention of my students as well.
The story afforded an excellent opportunity for classroom discussion of grades and college admission, as well as the more abstract (and complex) notion of integrity, which is a topic that my students and I had already been discussing in connection with our study of Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman."
