VETERAN Wong Choong Hann and Lee Tsuen Seng gave Malaysia an ideal start in the Swiss Open when they advanced to the second round with impressive victories in Basel yesterday.
The unseeded Choong Hann toppled Indonesian No 3 Simon Santoso 21- 12, 14-21, 21-19 in 53 minutes to set up a second round meeting against either Andrew Smith of England or Petr Koukal of the Czech Republic today.
Tsuen Seng, who defeated Hong Kong's Chan Yan Kit 21-13, 21-18, will play fellow KLRC Bhd shuttler Sairul Amar Ayob in the second round.
