NSW: Big retailers slam decision to ban Easter Sunday trading

SYDNEY, March 20 AAP - Major retailers are reeling after the NSW government rejected
their application to trade on Easter Sunday, saying the policy is unfair to big stores
and their customers.

Supermarket chains Coles and Woolworths along with David Jones and Harvey Norman are
some of the big retailers rebuffed by the the Office of Industrial Relations (OIR).

The OIR has ruled that those retailers as well as Big W, Aldi and Clive Peeters must
remain closed.

It has also refused hardware chain Bunnings the right to open. That decision is now
the subject of an appeal to the Administrative ...
