PLX Technology to Support Cavium Networks' Octeon II Multicore MIPS64 Processor Family

PLX Technology, Inc., a supplier of PCI Express (PCIe) switch silicon with more than 60 percent market share, announced support for the Octeon II processors from Cavium Networks, a provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications, storage, wireless, video and security applications.

PLX PCIe switches provide the interconnect backbone of board- and system-level products in the communications, storage, server, compute, embedded-control, and consumer markets.
