It makes sense to keep the identity of government employees secret - if they're spies, that is.

Otherwise, the public has a right to know who it has hired and how much they get paid. This is just as true for the teachers in the neighborhood school as it is for the governor.
A bill now before the Legislature would change that, however. "An Act Regarding Salary Information for Public Employees" would exclude the names of ...
