Vic: Wintry weather buffets Victoria
MELBOURNE, April 26 AAP - Victorians are being urged to batten down the hatches with
wild, wintry weather sweeping across the state.
The state's southwest has already copped a serve of wild weather on Saturday and overnight
into Sunday with wind gusts of up to 116 km/h recorded at Cape Otway.
"Fair to say it's pretty potent," Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Stuart Coombs
told AAP on Sunday.
"That sort of weather is going to move through the southern and mountain parts of the
state as the day progresses and those gusts will also be enough to dislodge some tree
branches in places."
