The first glimpse of previously undisclosed data on European Union farm subsidies shows that the recipients of the largest beneficiaries - worth tens of millions of euros - include an Italian bank in Milan, a French chicken giant and an Irish producer of Weight Watchers meals and Yorkshire pudding.
