A role schools should not play
In reading "Menendez pushes cyber safety bill" (Page L-1, April 25) about the proposed law to be introduced by Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., I can only be reminded of the many mandated education laws that have been underfunded or not funded at all.
Both the federal government and the state Legislature have required schools to teach lessons that should be the responsibility of students' parents and families. The schools have been assigned the burden of being a parent 24/7. What happened to the responsibility of parents in overseeing ...
