TDM sees a big drop in pre-tax profit

TDM Bhd, a plantation group controlled by the Terengganu state government, expects its pre-tax profit to drop 69 per cent this year due to a lower palm oil price, following a record 2008.
It made a pre-tax profit of RM144 million in the year to December 31 2008, and the figure this year could be around RM44 million, TDM's chairman Senator Datuk Roslan Awang Chik said.
