Hap Seng confident stimulus measures will boost earnings

HAP Seng Consolidated Bhd is confident it will do better this year, helped by the government's stimulus measures, although growth is likely to be slower.

It made a net profit of RM314 million in the financial year to December 31 2008, down 61 per cent from the previous year, mainly because it had made a RM600 million gain from the listing of its plantation arm in 2007.
