Solving landlord-tenant conflicts is a common occurrence for Ken Opp, an apartment manager and president of the 300-member Clark County Rental Association.
"There's so many stories out there," Opp said, "that you wouldn't believe them all."
That's why the Clark County Rental Association, in operation since 1981, is trying to change eviction laws. They figure if it's easier for landlords to evict tenants -- and cheaper for tenants if that happens -- then cases won't drag on for months on end.
"We've got to find a cheaper way to evict," Opp said.
To take a tenant to court, it's $350 minimum for court costs and fees. ...
