Suning to Finish Buying Hong Kong Firm within 2009

SHENZHEN, Jul 20, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Suning Appliance Co., Ltd. (SZSE: 002024), a renowned home appliance retailer in China, is scheduled to accomplish acquiring a Hong Kong company within this year, Zhang Jindong, board chairman of the Shenzhen-listed company disclosed in Shanghai on July 18, 2009.

The move will indicate the prelude of Suning's overseas expansion, noted industry watchers. In addition, Suning earlier agreed to buy a 27.36% stake in Laox Co., Ltd., a deal that will make it the biggest shareholder of the Japan-based company.
