FELCRA Bhd will pay dividends of RM445.99 million to its 78,019 eligible smallholders this year, lower than in 2008 because of weak palm oil and rubber prices.

The payout was 24 per cent lesser than the RM588.18 million given out in the previous year, Rural and Federal Development Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Afdal said.
"It (the lower dividend) is not because of bad management. It's because of weak commodity prices," Shafie said at a press conference in Putrajaya yesterday.
