BYD Auto Buying Bus Assets from Midea
CHANGSHA, Jul 27, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Chinese automaker BYD Auto has recently signed an agreement to purchase the Sanxiang Bus project, which has ceased operation for one year.
The bus project, located in Changsha, capital of the central province of Hunan, was once operated by consumer electronics manufacturer Guangdong Midea Group Co., Ltd.
The automaker will take over the project in cash, but the exact amount has not been known. A source from the Economic Committee of Changsha disclosed that the project would be traded by only about CNY 100 million, but related parties did not confirm the ...
