Audi to Build New Plant in China in September

SHANGHAI, Jul 29, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Audi, which is under the wing of Volkswagen AG, plans to set up a new plant in China in September with a CNY 1 billion investment, and the annual production capacity is desgined to be 100,000 vehicles.

An executive with the Audi department of FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. (FAW-VW), one of VW ventures in China, confirmed the saying. He added that Audi A4L and Q5 would be the first batch of car models yielded in the new plant.
