FED: Turnbull supports ban on political donations: Brandis

CANBERRA, July 30 AAP - In calling for a national ban on political donations Queensland
Premier Anna Bligh is simply following in the footsteps of federal Opposition Leader Malcolm
Turnbull, a senior Liberal says.

Ms Bligh has called for a prohibition on political donations in the wake of a series
of scandals involving undeclared donations to Queensland Labor, lobbyist success fees
and most recently damning criticism by corruption buster Tony Fitzgerald.

Opposition legal affairs spokesman George Brandis says there's "a very good case to
be made" for banning political ...
