Qld: Public gets a say on political donations, lobbying reforms

BRISBANE, Aug 6 AAP - Banning or capping political donations is top of Queensland Premier
Anna Bligh's wishlist for future integrity reforms, but voters will have their say first.
Ms Bligh on Thursday released a green paper, Integrity and Accountability in Queensland,
ahead of new laws to be in place by the year's end.
Among the questions for discussion are whether the disclosure of conflicts of interest
should be legislated, whether political donations should be banned or capped, and if election
campaign expenditure and political advertising should be limited.
