Suning to Stop Selling CRT TVs in Guangzhou

GUANGZHOU, Aug 11, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Chinese top-ranking home appliance retailer Suning Appliance Co., Ltd. (SZSE: 002024) is to stop selling CRT TVs in Guangzhou, south China, next week.

By the end of July 2009, CRT TVs in the first- and second-tier cities had been completely replaced by flat panel TVs, according to Suning's nationwide TV sales in the first half of the year.

So far, the purchase rate of flat panel TVs in the first- and second-tier cities has reached over 95% and Suning has snatched a more than 30% share of the domestic flat panel TV sales market.
