IPO market reawakening -- Stock surge helps prompt new Vitamin Shoppe plan to sell shares

Six months after North Bergen-based Vitamin Shoppe killed a planned IPO, blaming "unfavorable market conditions," the company is trying again and this time the market may be better.

Analysts say the surge in stock prices in recent weeks has made the market more receptive to IPOs, and the company could also benefit from the strong consumer interest in nutritional supplement products.
