Samy Vellu has a change of heart

KUALA LUMPUR: MIC president, Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said yesterday he would serve out his presidential term, which ends in 2012.

This was in contradiction to his earlier statement where he said he would hand over the post to the party deputy president before the end of his term in mid-2012.
The former works minister, however, stressed that this would be his last term at the helm of the party.

In an interview with TV3 last night, Samy Vellu said that he would complete his term as party president.

"I have decided to complete my term of office since I was elected for a three-year ...
