One-year Central Bank Note Interest Rate Kept Stable

BEIJING, Aug 19, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The People's Bank of China, the nation's central bank, issued one-year central bank notes, worth CNY 45 billion in total, on the open market on August 18, 2009, with interest rate as same as that in the previous week, signaling an end of rise for seven straight months.

On the same day, yield of 28-day repurchase agreements kept the same as that in the previous week to 1.18%.

As a response, yield of one to two-year central bank notes fell two basis points on August 18, and yield of some short-term notes even saw a drop of up to nine basis points.
