Affin Q2 net profit climbs, bad loan provisions shrink

AFFIN Holdings Bhd, a financial group, says its second-quarter net profit jumped 43 per cent as it made more money from conventional and Islamic banking, and lower bad loan provisions.

Affin Holdings made a net profit of RM89.8 million for the quarter to June 30 2009, against RM62.4 million for the same period in in 2008.
Revenue was lower by almost 9 per cent at RM490.6 million, against RM539 million for the same period the year before.
