Guangzhou Shipyard Builds Ships for China Shipping

GUANGZHOU, Aug 25, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd. (GSI; SHSE: 600685; SEHK: 0317) has started building four 1,400-seat/2,000-meter-fare roll on/roll off passenger ships for China Shipping (Group) Company.

The four ships will be delivered to ship owners from the end of 2010 to 2012. Each with a length of 167.5 meters and a carrying capacity of 7,500 tonnages, they will become the most luxurious roll on/roll off passenger ships ever to be operated in Bohai Bay.
