China Listed Textile Companies' Sales Down 2.79%

BEIJING, Aug 28, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- 46 extile companies listed on the A-share market saw their sales drop 2.79% to CNY 27.833 billion in the first half of 2009, with net profits standing at CNY 1.369 billion, up 8.22% from a year earlier.

Their exports are expected to remain subdued in the third quarter and may not revive until the last quarter of 2009. An all-out recovery of the industry still remains to be seen.
