Amid a scandal, a museum dedicated to the pioneering Spanish designer Cristobal Balenciaga gets back on track.

The simple idea, back in 1999, was to create a museum devoted to the dramatic gowns and sculpted suits of Cristobal Balenciaga -- right in the town where the revolutionary designer was born and buried: Guetaria, Spain.
The museum was the brainchild of the charismatic mayor of Guetaria, a hilly Basque fishing village near San Sebastian, and it was to be a magnificent tribute to the man Coco Chanel ...
