Chery Chairman Denies Henan Acquisition

WUHU, Sep 07, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Yin Tongyue, chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., Sunday denied the saying that the automaker would put aside Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. (JAC and SHSE: 600418) and acquire a vehicle manufacturer in Henan, central China.

Chery Automobile would create a mini vehicle plant in Kaifeng City, Henan with a total fixed-assets investment preliminarily estimated at CNY 1.773 billion, previous reports even said.
