ATHLETES can now generate funds for the National Athletes Charity Fund (Yakeb) by winning international tournaments.

IRIS Corporation Bhd will contribute 50 per cent of the prize money won by an athlete in an international tournament to Yakeb.
The company launched its pledge by contributing US$4,500 (RM15,710) at a Buka Puasa function in Bukit Jalil yesterday.

The RM15,710 contribution from IRIS Corporation was as a result of Lee Chong Wei's victory in the Macau Open two weeks ago where he earned US$9,000.
