IN an attempt to restore prestige to the Malaysia Cup, the FA of Malaysia (FAM) will only consider performances in that tournament in deciding the winners of the 2009 100Plus-FAM National Football Awards.

Performances over the course of the league campaign will have no bearing on the awards, which rules out players from Young Tigers and Kuala Terengganu T-Team, the top two finishers in the Premier League, from being considered.
