Small Business Subcommittee on Rural Development, Entrepreneurship and
Trade September 16, 2009 Chairman Shuler, Ranking Member Luetkemeyer and
Members of the Subcommittee, My name is Don Thomas, owner of Thomas Motors,
Inc., in Moberly, Missouri. I have spent my entire life and raised my family
in rural Missouri. I live in a small town on a farm approximately fifteen
miles from my dealership. I feel honored and privileged to be speaking
before you today. I have been a GM dealer since 1975. The dealership represents
