Shanghai Yangshan Deep Water Port III Passes Appraisal

SHANGHAI, Sep 17, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Shanghai has moved another step to its ambition of becoming an international shipping center with the Yangshan Deep Water Port Phase III passing Chinese regulators' appraisal on September 16, 2009.

The whole Yangshan Deep Water Port has been capable of handling 9.3 million TEUs a year by far, with a 5.6-kilometer long coastline and 16 big-sized container berths. And up to CNY 35.66 billion has been invested in construction of these container berths.
