KOTA KINABALU: The country's first submarine, the KD Tunku Abdul Rahman, arrived at its home port here yesterday.
Based at the Kota Kinabalu naval base in Sepanggar Bay, 35km from here, Royal Malaysian Navy chief Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Jaafar said its first mission would be a test run in tropical waters within the country next month.
"We will give three to four weeks for all 32 crew members to get settled here with their families as this will be their new home before we go on missions," he said.
