The biggest loss in Fairleigh Dickinson's men's soccer season came before the Knights practiced for the first time.

When preseason All-American Samson Malijani tore ligaments in his right knee in July, FDU coach Seth Roland faced a difficult problem: trying to replace somebody who scored 18 goals and produced 41 points last season.
