Statement of Peter Hughes President Red Barn Consulting, Inc Committee
on House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Water Resources
and Environment September 22, 2009 Chairwoman Johnson, Chairman Obestar,
and members of the Subcommittee. I thank you for this opportunity to testify
in support of the reauthorization of the Chesapeake Bay Program, Section
117 of the Clean Water Act. I believe the role of the Federal Government
is critical to the success of the Bay restoration effort. I am here today
to lend a voice from an agricultural perspective, more specifically an
