The federal opposition says Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD can't take credit for the Group
of 20's new and improved role in global economic matters.
Mr RUDD is on his way home after participating in a two-day summit in the US that decided
the G20 will replace the G8 as the main forum for coordinating global economic policy.
He's long been pushing for a bigger role for the larger grouping of developed and developing
nations which includes Australia .. China .. India and Brazil.
