Angang Group Resumes Deformed Steel Bar Plant

ANSHAN, Sep 30, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corp. (Angang Group), an important steelmaker in the northeastern Chinese province of Liaoning, is resuming a deformed steel bar plant that was once closed, and the production has started now.

The Angang Group General Manager Zhang Xiaogang disclosed that his company had considered resuming some deformed steel bar production lines since the end of 2008.

The steelmaker invested CNY 10 million in the resumed works with an annual production of 300,000 tons. The scale is small, but the plant will be of great significance in ...
