Vic: Man gets 21 years jail for robbery victim murder

MELBOURNE, Oct 6 AAP - A Melbourne man who murdered his robbery victim has been jailed
for 21 years.

Lorenzo Favata, 41, formerly of Fairfield, bashed and stabbed Samuel Macumber at his
home in Clayton in 1999.

He was found guilty of murder following a retrial.

The Victorian Supreme Court heard that Favata went to Macumber's home wearing a balaclava
and gloves to steal money.

Favata bashed and stabbed the 51-year-old man to death, inflicting 29 separate injuries
to his head and neck.
