Vic: Man gets 21 years' jail for robbery victim murder

MELBOURNE, Oct 6 AAP - A balaclava-clad killer who brutally murdered a Melbourne retiree
he planned on robbing has been jailed for 21 years.
Lorenzo Favata, 41, turned up to Samuel Macumber's door clad in a balaclava, gloves
and armed with a crowbar Lawyer on March 26, 1999 ready to rob him, the Victorian Supreme
Court heard.
But the pair had met before - through Favata's brother-in-law - and Mr Macumber recognised
his voice.
Favata demanded money then bludgeoned and stabbed Mr Macumber to death in his Clayton home.
