CARACAS, Oct. 6, 2009 (IPS/GIN) - Radio del Sur, a new regional
public radio network linking stations from South American to
Africa, will offer indepth coverage on social justice issues from
poverty to attacks on human rights and corporate fraud.
"Radio of the South" emerged as "an instrument of integration
in a world of shifting power alignments and geopolitical changes,"
said Helena Salcedo, director of the Radio Nacional de Venezuela
(the state-owned national radio station), who heads the new
Caracas-based station.
