Edison International Posts 3Q Results

Edison International has reported third quarter 2009 GAAP earnings of $1.23 per share, compared to $1.33 per share in the same quarter last year.
In a release dated November 6, the company stated:
Third quarter 2009 core earnings were $1.09 per share compared to $1.46 per share in the third quarter 2008. The decline is largely attributable to lower earnings at Edison Mission Group (EMG), partially offset by higher operating results at Southern California Edison (SCE).
