People's United Bank Appoints Chief Human Resources Officer

People's United Bank announced that it has hired David Norton as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.

Norton will be a member of the bank's Management Committee and report directly to Philip R. Sherringham, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Norton joins People's United from his former position as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, at The New York Times Co. where he was accountable for all human resources-related responsibilities for 10,000 employees.
