FED: Gillard to push ahead with schools website despite concerns

CANBERRA, Nov 11 AAP - Education Minister Julia Gillard will press ahead with plans
to publish information allowing parents to compare schools' performances, despite acknowledging
principals are anxious about the move.

Almost 10,000 Australian schools will be profiled on the myschool.edu.au website from
early next year.

The site will list students' test results, student-teacher ratios, attendance rates
and what happens to pupils after they leave high school.

Principals attending a two-day forum in Canberra are concerned the site won't take
