An American diplomat's business interests in the oil fields of Kurdistan landed him on the front page of today's New York Times. Peter Galbraith is an influential player in diplomatic circles. He's a former U.S. ambassador to Croatia, but he's probably best known for his long advocacy on behalf of the Kurds in Iraq. Most recently, he made news when he was fired by the U.N. special representative in Afghanistan.
